An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge
This story was a little confusing to follow but I believe I figured it out after re-reading it. Peyton Farquhar was being hung and drowned. He some how survived the hanging and did not drown. He also dodged the bullets of the men shooting at him. I was really thought it was a good ending when he made it back to his family but right when he does, he is killed by the men after him. It was a very suprising and quick ending.

The Most Dangerous Game
My freshman year of high school I read this piece. I just re-read it and had the same feelings about it as my freshman year. It is very strange, but also very intriuing. It relates to people who will go to any extreme to keep their passion alive. If Genral Zaroff was tired of hunting why wouldn't he just give it up? Instead he decides to murder hopelesss humans for sport. People do things to keep their passions alive, of course, not as extreme as killing humans most of the time, but they do try and hold on to their passions to long.

The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas
This story goes into great depth to describe the setting and also the characters. It gives very vivid details of the cellar the boy or girl sits by itself in. I think the fact that the people do not want to help the boy/girl because they do not want to ruin Omelas can relate to the world today. There are many upper class people who do not give back to the world while their are millions of malnurished youth in the world. This shows the greed that these people have. The fact that the people do not help the boy/girl and just leave the city is just like the people who do not try and help the poor.

Working on my RBAA Paper
I thought researching my topic was very insightful, especially since I am a college student aspiring a degree. There are a lot of stats on how graduating college ensures finding a secure career. The part that haulted the process of the paper was connecting what I believed to the statistics that I found. I did not want to just throw different stats around and not have my opionion. Overall, I believe I put forth my best attempt at this paper, considering the amount of time I had.

Semester
So far the semester has being going well. I have had to do a lot of work but I believe that I am becoming a better writer. I'm getting away from my old junior high and high school errors. I am also learning new ways to write and how to research. Hopefully by the end of the semester I will learn how to write for my future years in college.

RBAA Topic
For my paper, I am going to research how recieving a college diploma helps Americans find secure jobs. This is a topic that interests me because I am just starting off college and would like to see the reasons why I should contiue to work hard to get a diploma. In this whole paper I also hope to maybe find a career that might interest me since I have no clue to what my future is going to be and what path I am going to choose.

Research Paper Topics
I was really ready to pick three topics on the fly so I will most likely not use any of them. I wrote down why do Americans have to go to college to get a good job, why is it so expensive to fly, and the cost of gas. These topics were just on the the top of my head. If I looked at more options I would most likely pick something that I am interested in so the 10 pages aren't as difficult to write.

Group Project
Group projects to me, are a good way to get to know other students in your class. As well as it provides a new way to learn. Of course it is difficult to meet up with your partners out of class but I think if we had a little more time, we could have presented the project much better. Some people think that a group project means that one of the group members is usually stuck doing all of the work. In my group that was not the case. We evenly distributed the work amongst one another. In the future, I hope to have more projects where we would have a chance to work in class as well as out.
